DESCRIPTION
Here is the original version of the dragon stick, as it was invented by Góra Krisztián in 2004. The shape and dimensions are identical to those of the original version, but we have of course integrated the evolutions of the materials and the small details important techniques.
For years we did not produce this version, because the Dragonstaff 10 is a 2-in-1 (Dragonstaff and Contactstaff) and is extremely convenient for travel. Nevertheless, many professional users have asked us to re-produce this original Dragonstaff because it is their favorite for shows!
This version can also be disassembled for travel. It separates into 5 pieces, the central part of which is 120 cm long. The crosses can be removed, but each cross remains in one piece. You can also remove the 2 main heads. The assembly-disassembly procedure is longer than for a Dragonstaff 10, because it uses traditional screws. You will need Alan's Key, which is included with your Old School Dragonstaff.
We manufacture Dragonstaff Old School from 7075 aluminum alloy. This material has the same tensile strength as steel, but is lightweight like aluminum. It is used in the space industry and for special aircraft. This material allows for durable construction with light weight. The combination of not using an adapter for the Dragonstaff Oldschool and using 7075 aluminum alloy is surprisingly light (lighter than the Dragonstaff 10), very durable and extremely well balanced for your perfect flow.
Overall Length: The standard length of the Oldschool Dragonstaff is 166cm, which we believe is adequate for most players. It is necessary that the distance between the two crosses is at least 120 cm, and using this construction a distance between the cross and the main head is recommended. You can choose a slightly shorter stick, in which case we will reduce the distance between the cross and the main head, but we will keep the distance of 120 cm between the two crosses. If you choose a longer stick, we will increase the distance between the two crosses.
Replacement Screw Set: Your Oldschool Dragonnstaff stick includes everything you need, including screws and an Alan wrench. However, if you lose a part, this replacement screw set may come in handy. It includes 8 washers, 4 screws, 4 nuts and an Alan wrench. If you order a set of replacement screws, we encourage you to share the replacement screws with friends - you are unlikely to need all of the items yourself.
Grip: The handling surface is coated with our 3.2 mm thick SuperGrip©. It is made up of a spongy bottom layer and a sticky, dotted top layer that won't slip when wet. Over the years we've tested many versions and this one has by far the best hold, even when you're sweating. It is also suitable for contact staff players with sensitive skin or allergies. The midpoint of the weight is clearly marked.
