In recent months we have noticed an increasing trend towards the use of so-called Russian bullets. These balls are a great alternative to classic stitched balls as they are much stronger.
They are blow molded in plastic and then partially filled with sand, which serves two purposes.
First it gives the ball the right weight for throwing and catching, second when you miss a catch and the ball hits the ground it doesn't roll but just stays where it landed allowing to recover quickly and continue to juggle.
The best balls we have found are the "Plug and play" balls, however, Play only makes them in 65, 75 and 80mm, and additionally they don't make the 65mm in any color other than white for the moment.
That's why I was so happy to find the manufacturer of these Russian balls made in 6 colors and a perfect diameter of 60mm, ideal for children, schools and even professional jugglers who need a size smaller for multiplex juggling.
In short, a solid and colorful juggling ball at a reasonable price.
